Products and orders

RC Composite sells carbon fiber parts for specific motorcycle models, as listed on each product page. Placing an order is an offer to buy the listed part at the price shown at checkout; the contract between you and RC Composite is formed once we send you an order confirmation email, not when you complete payment on the checkout page.

Each part is manufactured to order, using the mold and specification confirmed for that model. Production begins once your order is confirmed and, where applicable, any required deposit or full payment is received.

Aftermarket parts and fitment

RC Composite parts are precision aftermarket carbon fiber components, made to replace the equivalent factory part with a 1:1 fitment. Fitment is confirmed only for the specific motorcycle make, model, and year listed on the product page; we are not responsible for fitment issues on any other motorcycle.

Unless a product page expressly states that a part carries a specific type approval or road-legal certification for a given country, our parts are supplied as aftermarket components without such certification. It is your responsibility, before fitting or using the part, to confirm whether it complies with the road-traffic and vehicle-approval regulations that apply in the country and manner in which you intend to use your motorcycle, including for use on public roads versus closed-course or off-road use only.

Fitting a carbon fiber part yourself, or through a third party, carries inherent risk if done incorrectly. We recommend fitment by a qualified mechanic.

Pricing and currency

All prices are set and charged in euro (EUR). Prices shown in any other currency are an indicative conversion at the exchange rate in effect when the page loads, for reference only; the amount you are actually charged is the EUR price shown at checkout.

The VAT amount shown in your cart before checkout is an estimate based on your approximate location. The final tax applied to your order is calculated at checkout.

Payment

We accept payment by card, processed by Stripe, and by cryptocurrency, processed by NOWPayments. We do not see or store your full card number or crypto wallet credentials.

Cryptocurrency payments. The EUR-equivalent price of your order is fixed in euro; NOWPayments converts this to the cryptocurrency amount due at the exchange rate quoted at the time of your order, within the payment window it gives you. Cryptocurrency prices are volatile, and once a payment is confirmed on the blockchain it cannot be reversed by us or by NOWPayments. If you send the wrong amount, or send it after the quoted rate has expired, contact us immediately at the address below so we can try to resolve it -- we cannot guarantee a resolution in every case.

Production and delivery timelines

Because each part is made to order, production typically takes 6 to 10 weeks once it begins, depending on the volume of orders being produced at the time -- it can take less than that when demand is lower. Orders in a custom Coloured Carbon finish are produced separately and tend to fall toward the longer end of this window.

Where an estimated delivery window is shown on a product page or at checkout, it is our best estimate based on current production and shipping conditions, not a guaranteed date. We will contact you if we expect a significant delay.

Risk of loss or damage in transit passes to you once the order is handed to the shipping carrier, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.

Shipping and customs

We ship internationally. Shipping costs are shown at checkout before you pay. If your order is shipped to a country outside the EU, or otherwise becomes subject to import duties, customs fees, or local taxes on arrival, those charges are your responsibility and are not included in the price you pay us.

Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)

If you are a consumer ordering from within the European Union, you generally have the right to withdraw from your order within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason, under the EU Consumer Rights Directive.

This right does not apply to goods made to your specification or clearly personalized. Because every RC Composite part is manufactured to order once you place it, rather than held as ready-made stock, this exception applies to our products once production has started. Production begins 24 hours after your order is placed; you may cancel free of charge any time before then.

Where the right of withdrawal does apply, and once we approve a return, the part must be returned unused, uninstalled, and in its original packaging. Return shipping costs are your responsibility unless the return is due to our error or a defect in the part.

Cancellations

You may cancel an order at no cost within 24 hours of placing it, before production of your part begins. Once that 24-hour window has passed and production has started, cancellation may not be possible, or may only be possible with a deduction for costs already incurred (such as materials and labor); we will tell you the applicable amount if you ask to cancel after production has begun.

Warranty

We warrant that each part is free from manufacturing defects at the time of delivery, for the statutory period provided by the consumer protection law of your country of residence (a minimum of two years for consumers within the EU). This warranty does not cover damage from a crash or impact, incorrect installation, normal wear and tear, or modification of the part after delivery.

Every part is individually inspected before it ships, and is shipped with a certificate of authenticity and an inspection certificate confirming it passed our quality check.

If you believe your part has a manufacturing defect, contact us at the address below with your order number and photos of the issue as soon as you notice it.

Refunds

Where a refund is due -- for example following an approved return, a cancellation, or a confirmed warranty claim -- we refund you using the same payment method you used to pay, where technically possible.

Whether a refund is available for your order depends on where it stands in production, in the same way described under Cancellations above: refunds are unrestricted within the 24-hour window before production begins, and may be limited by costs already incurred once production has started -- this applies equally to card and cryptocurrency payments. Refunds on cryptocurrency payments are issued as the euro-equivalent value of the original purchase amount, converted to cryptocurrency at the exchange rate applicable at the time the refund is processed; this amount may differ from the original cryptocurrency amount you paid due to price movements between your order and the refund.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability to you is limited to the price you paid for the affected order. This limitation does not apply to death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under the law of your country of residence.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of use of your motorcycle, arising from a defect or delay, except where such liability cannot be excluded under mandatory consumer protection law.

Intellectual property

All designs, 3D scans, renders, molds, and product photography used to create and market RC Composite parts are owned by RC Composite. You may not reproduce, reverse-engineer, or use them to manufacture competing parts without our written permission.

Dealers and wholesale

Businesses interested in reselling RC Composite parts can apply through our dealer program. Approved dealers operate under a separate written agreement covering pricing, territory, and order terms, which takes priority over these Terms & Conditions for any wholesale order.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection given to you by mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you are resident.

If you are unhappy with your order, contact us first at the address below so we can try to resolve it directly. If we cannot resolve a dispute directly, and you are an EU consumer, you may also submit your complaint through the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, for example as our suppliers change or to reflect changes in the law. The version in effect at the time you place an order is the one that applies to it.
